Band Overview:
Kamikaze Zombie “The Crude Mutants” is a ferocious force in the heavy metal scene, blending death metal's brutality, thrash metal’s speed, Hardcore’s grove and breakdowns, and a chilling horror-inspired atmosphere. Originally formed in Birmingham, Alabama, in 2014 by frontman and New Orleans native Clint Spain, the band now calls New Orleans, Louisiana home, after Clint moved back to New Orleans shortly after forming the band.  With a sound as explosive as their name suggests, Kamikaze Zombie is known for their intense live shows, dark imagery, and an unwavering commitment to creating music that pushes the boundaries of extreme metal.

The band’s fanbase, affectionately known as the Crude Mutants, makes up a dedicated collective of metalheads who share the band’s love for aggressive, horror-infused music. Together, they create an unbreakable bond, united by their passion for brutal, high-energy music and their shared love of chaos and destruction.

With Clint Spain’s savage vocals, Damon Dodd’s shredding guitars, Oliver Stansell’s deep, rumbling bass, and Trevor Edwards’ thunderous drums, Kamikaze Zombie delivers a sonic assault that’s impossible to ignore. Their music is a relentless onslaught of blast beats, fast riffs, raw aggression, and devastating breakdowns paired with lyrics that explore dark, apocalyptic themes of death, destruction, and the supernatural.

Musical Style & Influences:
Kamikaze Zombie combines the crushing weight of death metal with the rapid pace of thrash metal, and the grove and breakdown of Hardcore, while incorporating their love for horror and cinematic storytelling into their sound. Their music is characterized by fast, aggressive guitar riffs, brutal drumming, and Clint’s guttural vocals that tell tales of apocalyptic nightmares and undead horror. The band’s influences include Morbid Angel, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, Goatwhore, Pantera, Napalm Death, The Black Dailah Murder, Soilent Green, and Crowbar among many more The band’s lyrics often explore death, terror, serial killers, horror movies, and other macabre worlds creating a sonic landscape that is as menacing as it is thrilling.

Demo  (2023): Kamikaze Zombie released a demo featuring tracks like “High      Hopes” and “The Bastard Sun of 100 Maniacs,” continuing to expand their ever-growing catalog.

Recording: All of Kamikaze Zombie’s music has been recorded at Ledbelly Sound Studios in Dawsonville, GA, a renowned studio known for recording Mastodon’s Grammy Award-winning debut album. This studio connection has been integral to shaping the band’s raw, unfiltered sound.

The Story of Jane Doe – A cinematic music video filmed and directed by 1931 Productions (Ben and Nadia Robertson), perfectly captures 90's grindcore atmosphere of the track.

The Dark Eyes of London—This dark, atmospheric video, directed by Clint Spain and filmed by Crude Mutant Productions, brings the song’s sinister mood to life with stark visuals.

Album Art: The artwork for Night of the Nuberus and Destroyer of  All Things was created by Shawn Knight of  CHILD BITE/ Housecore Records, whose dark, apocalyptic art mirrors the band’s horrific and destructive themes.

Touring & Festivals:
Since 2014, Kamikaze Zombie has been on the national touring circuit, sharing stages with bands like Yatra (Prosthetic Records), Nes t(Housecore Records), and Exhorder  (Nuclear Blast Records). The band has performed at major festivals like Full Terror Assault 3 and Dime Stock 2, and has been local support for legendary acts like Cannibal Corpse, Phil Anselmo and the Illegals, The Black Dahlia Murder, Superjoint, Goatwhore, Crowbar, EYEHATEGOD, Power Trip, Dark Funeral, Belphegor among many others

Kamikaze Zombie has earned praise from the metal press, including multiple features in Decibel Magazine, thanks to their explosive live shows and dark, cinematic sound. Their aggressive approach to music and their dedicated fanbase, the Crude Mutants, have made them a prominent name in the modern death-thrashcore scene.

Current Work:
Kamikaze Zombie is continuing to write and record new material, always pushing the limits of their unique sound. The band is also staying active on the road, delivering intense live performances for their loyal Crude Mutants across the country.
